San Sebastián, facing the Cantabrical sea, in La Concha bay, is one of the most beautiful urban beaches to see. It puts away all the elegance and good taste of XX century beginning. Its clean and orderly streets, its quality commerce, its well preserved architecture and many cultural and festive acts during the year, make it the favourite place for European tourism. The International Film Festival of San Sebastian, the International Jazz Festival, and the International competition of fireworks are maybe the most well known events, but there are more during the year.
If the XIX century architecture defines the city, new architectonic works situate it in the XXI century. There is Kursaal Congress Palace, by the international architect Rafael Moneo and the new Science Museum or Kutxaespacio. Txilidaleku, combineing tradition and modernity, an ancient countryhouse which guards the modern work of art of Chillida, who left his footprint in the city with his work of art "Comb of Winds", confronted with the Cantabrical sea. It is that sea, which is introduced, full of life, into the Aquarium, oceanografic museum situated in the old fishing seaport.

There is place also, for traditions and popular atmosphere in San Sebastian. The many typical restaurants from the port have their continue into the old zone. Here, there are concentrated all the gastronomical delights that have made famous the Basque cooking. There is nothing like to stay an afternoon side by side tasting "pintxos" and wine to leave constance of this reality.
