More than 75 persons can stay at Sastarrain with all the necesary comodities, and also they can enjoy the pedagogical and sport instalations of the farm (stables, greenhouses...).

A visit to Sastarrain is ideal for knowing the Basque Country. Its towns, people and gastronomy... The nearby cities of Bilbao and San Sebastian and many towns of the coast (beaches, culture...) or countryside (landscape, art and Nature).

 

 

 

 

13.000 years ago, the inhabitants of the valley painted the walls of Ekain Cave (close to the farm). Now a replica is being built here, with the most modern techniques to offer the visitors all the mystery of the original cave.

 

 

Sastarrain is a youth hostel and activities centre to learn about and enjoy Nature. It is located in Zestoa, Gipuzkoa, in the same named small valley, near the extraordinary cave of Ekain. Thousands of students come to visit us during the year, and our pedagogical programmes are specially designed for them. But it is not only for them.
